The purpose of the proposed Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program (I.P.P.) is to provide specialization and in-depth knowledge to its graduates in areas related to the technologies of managing the soil, water, natural, built, and road environment—both at a theoretical and an applied level—based on the principles of sustainable development.
More specifically, the aim of the Program is to offer high-quality education in the field of Environmental Risk Management, by applying modern techniques and methodologies for study, investigation, prediction, management, and the design of protective and mitigation measures, grounded in the principles of sustainability.
The education provided includes both the teaching of the theoretical background and its application to case studies and practical exercises, using modern computational tools and methods. The goal is to train students in contemporary knowledge and technologies for the study, protection, and management of natural resources against the risks they face.
The main objectives of the Program are:

  • To provide high-level postgraduate education.
  • To specialize scientists in modern technologies for environmental protection against natural hazards and in methodologies for sustainable environmental management.
  • To equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary either to work effectively in the private and public sectors or to continue their studies at the doctoral level.
