Short Biography
Mr. Alamanis Nikolaos studied at the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Greece and continued his studies (master’s degree) in the field of Soil and Construction Engineering at the Ecole Centrale Paris. He is a Dr. Civil Engineer of the University of Thessaly in the Field of Geotechnical Engineering.
From 1995 to 2007 he taught as an hourly professor at the Technical University of Thessaly. From 2007 to today he teaches as a Professor of Applications initially and Assistant Professor subsequently, in the Civil Engineering curriculum of the Technical University of Larissa and from 2021 in the Department of Agriculture-Agrotechnology of the University of Thessaly. Also from 2018 to 2020 he taught in the Postgraduate Program: “Modern Technologies of Environmental Management Projects” of the General Department of the University of Thessaly.
During his tenure, he organized and developed autonomous teaching of the courses: Soil Mechanics, Soil Mechanics Laboratory, Road Construction I (Laboratory) Road Construction II, Financial Project Management, Port Design, Statics, Strength of Materials, Calculation of Structures and Foundations of Technical Projects at the PPS, Environmental Geology at the Department of Environment as well as Soil Mechanics and Agricultural Buildings and Technologies at the Department of Agriculture-Agrotechnology of the University of Thessaly where he serves.
In the Postgraduate Studies Program, he organized and developed autonomous teaching in the Advanced Geotechnical Engineering-Simulations course. He participated in many working committees of both the department and the institution in general and presented important administrative work from 2007 to date, assuming important positions of responsibility. In his research work, he presents six (7) participations in Research Programs, thirty-three (33) Scientific publications in Proceedings of International and National Conferences after a review of the text, thirty-three (33) Scientific publications in reputable journals with referees, four (4) Scientific publications in an Internet Portal as well as three (3) important theses.
His research interests focus on Geotechnical Engineering Simulations, Soil Dynamics and Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, Effect of spatial variability of soil properties (c, φ, E, γ) on permanent seismic displacements of road slopes.
Finally, he is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (T.E.E.), the Society of Civil Engineers of Greece (S.P.M.E.), the Hellenic Scientific Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (SSEGE), the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering and the American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE).

Short Biography
George Aspridis is a 1st-level Professor with a subject area of “Administrative Science” at the University of Thessaly. He is a graduate of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the National University of Athens and holds a PhD in Administrative Science from the same Department. The topic of his PhD thesis was “Comparison of Systems for the Evaluation of Personnel Performance in Public and Private Organizations”.
He has taught and/or teaches as a visiting professor at the Hellenic Open University, at the Production Schools of the Hellenic Police and the Fire Academy, at the former Technical and Vocational Institutes of Piraeus and Chalkida, and in the Postgraduate Programs of various University Departments.
He has trained a large number of executives in in-house seminars on management, human resources management, leadership and communication and civil servants. He is a supervisor of two PhD theses and has supervised the preparation of a large number of Postgraduate Diploma Theses as well as degree theses. He teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to Business Organization and Management, Human Resources Management, Business Communications, Management Strategy, Public Administration, Knowledge Management and finally Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility.
He had held several administrative positions at the former TEI of Thessaly (from 2010 to 2018). Indicatively, he served as President of the Department of Business Administration of the former TEI of Thessaly and Director of the Postgraduate Program “Administration of Educational Units”. He has served as a member of evaluation committees for educational, research and administrative work at the Department and Institution level. He has published over 200 papers and articles in various international and national conferences, scientific and sectoral journals (such as Springer, SEER De Gruyter Open, Cambridge Scholars Publishing and others), articles, books, collective volumes and others. He is a member of scientific organizations and associations, academic and scientific journal committees, a reviewer of several scientific papers at international conferences and journals and an evaluator in various bodies.
A sufficient number of citations (over 1000) appear in the published work by Professors, researchers, scholars, columnists, scientific websites, various scientific and educational institutions. His current research interests concern public administration, business administration, human resource management, corporate communication, knowledge management, quality management, modern trends in human resource management and business ethics.
