Short Biography
Dr. Antonios Karageorgos (ORCID ID: 0000-0002-4295-6719) is a Professor at the University of Thessaly with a research subject of “Development of Intelligent Information Systems and Applications in the Wood-Furniture Sector” and Director of the Applied Informatics and Digital Technologies Laboratory of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences & Design.
Dr. Karageorgos has received funding for doctoral and postdoctoral research abroad and in Greece, has coordinated and executed international and national research projects related to the subject of Intelligent Information Systems (>35) and has published in international journals and conferences that have received a large number of citations (>2000 with Google Scholar h-index=17).
In addition, he has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level in related subjects abroad and in Greece, has extensive administrative work in Higher Education, having served, among others, as President of the Department of Wood and Furniture Design and Technology and Deputy Dean of the School of Technological Applications of the TEI of Thessaly, and has participated in the scientific committee of international scientific journals and international conferences.

Short Biography
Efstratios Kelepertzis is an Associate Professor of Environmental Geochemistry since 2024. He earned an undergraduate degree in Geology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2003), a MSc degree (2005) in Contaminated Land from the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences of University of Portsmouth (UK) and a PhD in geological and environmental sciences from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2011). He was an Assistant Professor between 2021-2024.
Currently, he is teaching environmental geological and geochemical subjects for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and is supervising several dissertations. His main research focuses on the geochemical processes and principles of trace metal (and nutrient) cycling in the environment.
His research work (h-index 20) has been published in high impact factor international journals (mainly as the first and/or corresponding author) or presented in international conferences.
